Welcome to Hernando Intermediate School!

I am excited to begin another year alongside our amazing students, staff, and families. At HIS, we believe every student has unique gifts, talents, and potential, and it is a privilege to help them discover just how capable they are.

This year, our theme is Learning is the Most Magnificent Adventure! Every day brings new opportunities to learn, grow, take risks, solve problems, and celebrate success. We want our students to be curious, confident learners who are willing to try new things and never give up when learning gets hard.

Every Tiger. Every Classroom. Every Day. Whatever It Takes.

Those words remind us why we do what we do. We are committed to building strong relationships, providing meaningful learning experiences, and creating a school where every child feels safe, supported, challenged, and loved.

We strive to model our ROAR values each day: Respect. Ownership. Attitude. Resilience.

When schools and families work together, great things happen for children. Thank you for trusting us with your child each day. We are honored to be a part of their journey and look forward to partnering with you throughout the year.

It's going to be a great year at HIS, and I can't wait to see our Tigers learn, grow, and achieve great things together.

ROAR with Pride,

Mrs. Ida Rohrbacher
